I thought I was a Junior?
Starting a new semester "abroad" (NYC can be its own country if it wants to be) makes me feel like a freshman. But I will be making several visits back to Wes, so I'll be on my home turf again. It's funny to think that every time I see the exit for Middletown while heading down 84, I feel as though my other home is waiting there.
Now that I've registered for courses at Bank St., I'm a little apprehensive about the fact that these are graduate school courses. My schedule will have evening classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and on Wednesday I'll have class with the other UES students. I'm not sure of what school I'm going to be placed in. All of this will be figured out when I get to the 92 Street Y.
Speaking of which, the Y seems really cool. I can't wait to host all of my wonderful visitors! (For those of you with cars, please come and say hello : ) There is (apparently) a $15 charge for overnight visitors, and since I don't want to become a woman who charges money for "visitors," I will happily cover the cost of anyone who wants to stay in NY overnight.
All right. I have to pack. My younger brother Alec is going to Lafayette, so my whole family, including the other little brother, are going first to Pennsylvania and then to NY. We will see if five people's luggage, including luggage for two college students, fits into my family vehicles.
Thanks for reading,
Becky
